A little bibble here, a little babble there … we’re going to have a great time learning a few interesting stitch patterns that repeat in-the-round to create this fun beanie. Make it for yourself or as a quick gift for someone else.

You will learn:

  • How to begin with an Adjustable Loop (also called a Magic Ring or Adjustable Ring)
  • Work in a continuous spiral round
  • Identify the front and back loops of a stitch
  • Combine and repeat stitch patterns to create an interesting overall design
  • Finish with an Invisible Slip Stitch

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner. To be successful in this class, you should be comfortable making chains, single-crochet, and half-double stitches. A very brief review of half-double crochet stitches will be provided.

Supplies to bring to class:
(registered students receive 10% off class supply purchases, excluding patterns )

  • Pattern: Bibble-Babble Beanie by Jody Ouradnik. The pattern will be provided by the instructor when you come to class.
  • Yarn: 170-200 yards of worsted weight yarn. Recommended yarns: Berroco Ultra Alpaca, Sweet Georgia Worsted, Malabrigo Rios, Berroco Ultra Wool, or Cascade 220. The shop sample was made using Sweet Georgia Worsted in the Strawberry Tea colorway. Sweet Georgia is wonderfully soft and easy to work with.
  • Hook: Size I/10 (5.5 mm) crochet hook
  • Notions: Stitch markers & tapestry needle. A row counter is useful, but not required.
