The Patsy Hat: Bohus Knitting - 2 Saturdays: Nov 2 & 9; 3:00-4:30 pm
Instructor: Laura Haave
Dates:2 Saturdays: November 2 & 9; 3:00-4:30 pm
Let's make a Bohus-inspired colorwork hat together while learning a bit about the history of Bohus Knitting, which originated in Sweden in 1939.
In this two-session class, we will work on Kelbourne Woolens' Patsy Hat, made in Andorra, a DK-weight wool/mohair yarn. The cost of the class includes a set of four mini-skeins of Andorra that will be used for the colorwork portion of the hat. The mini-skeins are available in your choice of two colorways (blues or purples). You will need to purchase one hank of Andorra in a main color to contrast with your choice of mini-skeins.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner / Intermediate. To be successful in this class, you must be comfortable knitting in the round and doing stranded colorwork using two or three colors per row.
Homework: Please complete the brim of the hat and work 4 rounds in stockinette stitch per the pattern, beforethe first session, so you are ready to begin working from the Bohus chart. Bring your hat on the needles to the first class.
Supplies to bring to class: (registered students receive 10% off class supply purchases, excluding patterns)
Your Finished Homework(hat on needles)
