Instructor: Jody Ouradnik

These fingerless mitts are an easy first project for beginning Tunisian crocheters, yet the stitch patterns are fun enough to keep even an experienced Tunisian crocheter interested. The Tunisian Fingerless Mitts pattern will be provided by the instructor during the first class session.

In this class, we will:

  • Measure and determine starting chain length, based on hand size
  • Briefly review Tunisian Simple Stitch (Tss) and the standard Return Pass
  • Learn the Tunisian Purl Stitch (Tps)
  • Learn the Tss increase and decrease
  • Learn how to bind off and sew an invisible seam
  • Single-crochet & half-double crochet thumbs (optional)

Skill Level: Easy. To be successful in this class you should be able to create chain stitches. Previous experience with Tunisian Simple Stitch and the standard Tunisian Return Pass is recommended.

Note: The Intro to Tunisian Crochet class offered on July 13th will not only teach you the recommended skills for this class, but you will also receive the Tunisian hook you need for this class in the Intro class.

Supplies to bring to class:
(registered students receive 10% off class supply purchases)

  • Pattern: Supplied by the instructor during the 1st class session
